About Transmitting Cost Events

Contract and Commitment Events have the ability to be Transmitted out of the project via a Cost Event Transmittal.

In order to create ALL Transmittal Types, Project Members require the permission/folder access to Write to the Transmittals section and/or subfolder(s) within the Project Management Module.

Transmit a Cost Event

Contract Event

1. Navigate to the Contract Events Section of the Cost Management Module

2. Open the Contract Cost Event Type folder where the cost event is located

3. Open the Contract Event that is being transmitted

4. Select the Transmit button in the top ribbon

The user will be navigated to the Project Management Module's Transmittal section to a new Transmittal. The associated Contract Event is listed to the top right of the Cost Event Transmittal and is a hyperlink back to the originating Contract Event. The Item Type Transmitted will be populated with Change Orders. The Transmittal Attachments grid will be updated to include the Contract Event Details.

Commitment Event

1. Navigate to the Commitment Events Section of the Cost Management Module

2. Open the Vendor Folder of the Commitment Event

3. Open the Commitment Cost Event Types folder where the cost event is located

3. Open the Commitment Event that is being transmitted

4. Select the Transmit button in the top ribbon

The user will be navigated to the Project Management Module's Transmittal section to a new Transmittal. The associated Commitment Event is listed to the top right of the Cost Event Transmittal and is a hyperlink back to the originating Commitment Event. The Item Type Transmitted will be populated with Change Orders. The Transmittal Attachments grid will be updated to include the Commitment Event Details.
