What is Quick Reply?

Quick Reply is a setting that can benefit an external user's experience by quickly accessing the site as it pertains to collaborating on certain project items. The Quick Reply setting impacts 3 project sections: Bid Packages, RFI's, and Submittals. It removes the requirements for users to login to access and collaborate on these project items when they are sent via email - they can quickly reply to the notification.

Quick Reply is the preferred method for reviewers reviewing and responding to RFI's and Submittals.

Bid Packages and the Quick Reply Setting

When the Quick Reply setting is enabled on a project, the hyperlinks that are included in the Invitation to Bid Email will allow the bidder profile to access the Bid Package, it's content, and access their Bid Reply Form without requiring them to login with their Username and Password.

When Quick Reply is disabled on a project, all hyperlinks from the Bid Package will land users to the login page of their StratusVue platform website before they are able to access any of the Bid Package information.

Please note that because bidders are not added as project members to a project, only as bidders to the bid package, this setting is for ALL bidders listed to a bid package on the project in which the setting is set.

RFI's and the Quick Reply Setting

When the Quick Reply setting is enabled on a project, an additional hyperlink is included into the RFI Email Notification for all Project Members that have Quick Reply toggled to yes on their project member profile within Project Members. Therefore once a project has been setup to use Quick Reply, the ability to limit access by Project Members is available. Please refer to Changing a Project Member's Quick Reply Option.

When Quick Reply is disabled on a project or a Project Member is set to "No" for Quick Reply, the RFI Email Notification will not contain the Quick Reply hyperlink. Users will need to login via the login screen to collaborate on the RFI.

Submittals and the Quick Reply Setting

When the Quick Reply setting is enabled on a project, an additional hyperlink is included into the Submittal Transmittal Email Notification for all Project Members that have Quick Reply toggled to yes on their project member profile within Project Members. Therefore, once a project has been setup to use Quick Reply, the ability to limit access by Project Member is available. Please refer to Changing a Project Member's Quick Reply Option.

When Quick Reply is disabled on a project or a Project Member is set to "No" for Quick Reply, the Submittal Transmittal Email Notification will not contain the Quick Reply hyperlink. Users will need to login via the login screen to collaborate on the Submittal Items.

Ways to Set a Project to Use Quick Reply

Setting Quick Reply at Project Creation

When Creating a New Organization Project, the Quick Reply checkbox can be found in the project creation screen and is default selected when projects are created.

The checkbox showing as selected enables quick reply when the project is saved. The checkbox showing deselected disables quick reply when the project is saved.

Updating the Quick Reply Setting Once the Project is Created

Once a project is created, the Quick Reply setting can be enabled/disabled via the Edit Project tab that is available within the Project Defaults section of the Project Setup module.

The checkbox showing as selected enables quick reply. The checkbox showing deselected disables quick reply. Ensure to select Save to save changes to the Quick Reply setting.
