About Editing and Adding Punch List Items Via Import
Punch List Items that need to be added, or existing Punch List items that were imported that need to edited/updated, can be done via the Punch List Import. This is completed within the section or subfolder where the punch list items reside. This is often referred to as a re-import.
There are specific rules and requirements for re-importing Punch List Items:
- To edit existing Punch List Item information via a re-import, column A (the Punch List Number) must match the existing Punch List Item
- Any Punch List Item Number that does not exist within the section or subfolder will create a new punch list item.
Re-Import Over Existing Punch List Items
1. Navigate to the Punch List section
2. Select the Import tab in the top ribbon
3. Select the Import Button
4. Select Browse to browse and select the locally saved file
5. Select the Upload File button once the file has been selected for upload
6. Confirm the mapping screen
The destination column is the field in the site, the source column is the column from the spreadsheet. If the column headers are changed, manual mapping will need to be completed.
7. Select Import Punch List
The website will confirm the number of successfully inserted records, select the Return to the Punch Lists button.
Existing Punch List Items (with matching numbers) will be updated with the latest information held within the Import Template. Any newly added Punch List Item Numbers will be created for use.
