About the RFI's Report

The RFI Report allows users to pull reporting based on the available information held within the RFI's section of the Project Management Module.

The BIC field on the RFI Report:

  • the RFI has been created and not submitted - BIC = Submitting Company (Company of the RFI's listed From)
  • the RFI has been submitted for review - BIC = Reviewing Company (Company of the RFI's listed To)
  • the RFI has a reply posted in the discussion thread of the RFI - BIC = Submitting Company (Company of the RFI's listed From)

Filters & Sorting

The Report Design options allow for control of the type of report that is created when the PDF print for the report is generated. The filters that are available for the RFI Report can be used to search/filter for specific information regarding RFI items held within the RFIs section. The Sorting options allow for the sort of the filtered data to be customized when the PDF print of the RFI Report is generated. 


Forwarding Report = This checkbox is only for project's that utilize Advanced Forwarding within the RFIs section. If the project is not using this advanced function, this option does not apply. When selected, the Forwarding Report option expands the RFI Report's filter page to include additional filtering options based on source and destination RFI's.

Show Grids = A selectable checkbox that allows for gridlines to be included on the PDF print of the report. 


Paper Orientation = A dropdown that is populated with two options: Landscape and Portrait. The selection will determine the orientation of the PDF print of the report. 


Status = A multi-select field that allows for selection of multiple RFI statuses to search/filter. To select multiple, hold CTRL on the keyboard and click each with the mouse.


Responsible Party = A dropdown that is populated with the list of Project Members on the project. This can be used to search/filter RFI Items for a specific assigned Responsible Party. 


RFIs folder = A dropdown that is populated by the subfolders that have been created within the RFIs section of the Project Management module. This can be used to search/filter RFI Items by a specific folder/subfolder set. 


RFIs Subject = A text entry field that can be used to search/filter RFI Items for a specific word or words within the RFI Subject. 


Duration = A single select option that allows for a search/filter for RFI's that were creating during a specific time duration.


Action Filter = A multi-select field that allows for a search/filter to a specific action that has been taken on an RFI. To select multiple, hold CTRL on the keyboard and click each with the mouse.


Start Date = A date selector that allows the beginning date to search/filter for RFIs.


End Date = A date selector that allows the end date to search/filter for RFIs.


Include Days Overdue = A selectable checkbox that allows the PDF Print to include the number of days overdue.


Include Days with Reviewer = A selectable checkbox that allows the report option to include the number of days the RFI has been with the reviewer to the PDF print of the RFI. 


Include Question and Answer = A selectable checkbox that allows the report option to include the Question-and-Answer of the RFI to the PDF print. (If this is not selected, only the number and subject will be used)


Include Posted Replies = A selectable checkbox that allows the report option to include all of the Discussion Replies for an RFI to the PDF print of the RFI. 


Sorting

The sorting options at the bottom of the RFI Report allows users to control the order in which the information is sorted on the print of the report. The eight sorting options are: None, Number, Date Submitted, Due Date, Status, Responsible Party, Submitting Party, Subject. The arrows to the right are to toggle the sort between ascending and descending.


Once filters and sorting have been applied, using the Run button will run the filters on the project data and return results for viewing.


Viewing the Results

Once the filters, reporting options, and/or sorting are entered, using the Run button will apply the entered filters and sorting to the available information held within the RFI section of the Project Management Module. The RFI Report Preview grid will update to show the results based on the entered filter criteria.


The filtered report can also be printed to a PDF by using the Print icon in the top ribbon.

A copy of the filtered report that was generated using Print can also be sent out via a Project Transmittal by using the Transmit button in the top ribbon and completing the Transmittal.


The RFI Report data can also be exported to a .csv file or an .xls file.

Out-of-the-Box Print Example PDFs

If the standard, out-of-the-box print of the report does not meet an organization's need, there is the opportunity to customize any print or report via our Professional Services Group. The Report Writers will review the request and advise if the customization request can be completed, the cost, and the turnaround of the customized report.
