What are Change Event Types?

There are multiple different Cost Change Event Types that are available within the StratusVue Platform website for both Contract Events and Commitment Events. 


Each Change Event Type has it's own print that can be customized. Additionally, change event types can be processed down the list.


Cost Event Types are available for both Commitment Change Events and Contract Cost Events.


Cost Event Types 

Approval Letters

Approval Letters (ALs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. An Approval Letter is not required for use. 


ALs can be processed into Scope Changes, Potential Change Orders, Request for Proposals, Value Engineering, Allowance Requests, Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Scope Change

Scope Changes (SCs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. 


SCs can be processed into Potential Change Orders, Request for Proposals, Value Engineering, Allowance Requests, Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Potential Change Order (Standard Out-of-the-Box)

Potential Change Orders (PCOs) is not required for use. Project Members have the ability to Create a PCO from Project Management items like RFI's and Issues. 


PCOs can be processed into Request for Proposals, Value Engineering, Allowance Requests, Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Request for Proposal

Request for Proposals (RFPs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. 


RFPs can be processed into Value Engineering, Allowance Requests, Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Value Engineering

Value Engineering (VEs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. 


VEs can be processed into Allowance Requests, Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Allowance Request

Allowance Requests (ARs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. 


ARs can be processed into Notice of Changes, Change Order Requests, or Change Orders.


Notice of Change

Notice of Changes (NOCs) are not turned on as a standard out-of-the-box Change Event. 


NOCs can be processed into Change Order Requests or Change Orders.


Change Order Request (Standard Out-of-the-Box)

Change Order Requests (CORs) are not required for use. 


COR's can be processed into Change Orders.


Change Order (Standard Out-of-the-Box)

Change Orders (COs) cannot be processed. This is the final tier document.


For Sage 300 Integrations, the Cost Event Type that can be released to accounting and synchronized with Sage 300


Internal Event (Standard Out-of-the-Box)

Internal Events (ICOs) only affect the estimate. Internal Events do not change the Contract Info (SOV) of the project. Typically ICOs are used to move money between cost codes in the estimate. Defining an Internal Change Event (ICO)


For Sage 300 Integrations, Internal Events can be synchronized with the integrated Sage 300 platform to move money between cost codes within the Estimate. 


Commitment Events cannot use Internal Events. 


Setting Available Change Event Types

Contract Events

1. Navigate to the Org Project Options section of the Organization Setup Module within the Navigation Tree

2. In the second tab of the Org Project Options Page is the Cost Event Pending Types tab


3. Select or De-Select the Contract Event Types that should be available within the Contract Events section of projects


4. Select Save Defaults


Commitment Events

1. Navigate to the Org Project Options section of the Organization Setup Module within the Navigation Tree

2. In the third tab of the Org Project Options Page is the Cost Event Pending Types tab

 

3. Select or De-Select the Commitment Event Types that should be available within the Commitment Events section of projects. 


4. Select Save Defaults
