This can only be completed in the single cost event item add.  This option is not available in the "Add Multiple Items" option.

1. Select Add New Item within the Contract Event.

2. Complete the form with the details for the line item.

3. Do NOT select a Cost Code in the drop-down, leave it "Add a New Cost Code Item", select Save on the item.

4. A new pop-up window will present, complete the Quick Add Estimate pop-up, find the cost code and select it.

NOTE: If the project is not setup to use Extras in Sage 300, no Extras Group should be selected in the drop-down.

5. Select OK.

In the Cost Event Item grid, the Quick Add Cost Code will be identified with Add ... at the beginning.

In the Estimate, the cost code will show with a (QA) at the end of it, indicating that currently it is only a part of the estimate in the StratusVue platform, as a Quick Add.

When this Cost Event is synchronized with Sage 300, the cost code will become part of the Estimate in 300 and the (QA) will be removed from the StratusVue platform.

Estimate Quick Adds can only be done to the contract item selected at the top of the change order, even when Allow Multiple Contracts is selected. If multiple estimate quick adds need to be created, one sub-tier contract event (PCO, COR, etc) will need to be created for each contract item that is quick adding to the estimate. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact support.

The quick add cost codes will not be available for use in other Cost Event Items until the Change Event that is completing the quick add of the cost code is synchronized with Sage 300. Users will be presented the below error message.

Once the Cost Code is synchronized and confirmed in Sage 300, the item will lose it's "quick-add" status and be officially part of the estimate, making it able to be selected in other Cost Event Items.
